Who we are
Vidus6 is a mobile app studio that builds focused utility apps for iPhone and iPad. Remo is our universal TV remote: it finds the smart TVs on your Wi-Fi network and gives you the full remote — D-pad, keypad, volume, a touchpad, your phone keyboard for TV search, and a one-tap app launcher — for Roku, Samsung, LG, Android TV, Google TV, Sony, Vizio and Fire TV.
Everything stays on your network
Remo talks to your TV directly over your home Wi-Fi, using the same local protocols each TV maker built for its own remote app. Button presses and text you type go from your phone to your TV — not through our servers. The app doesn't require an account, and this website only sets analytics cookies if you accept them in the consent banner.
About Remo
Remo is free to download, and finding and pairing a TV is free — so you can confirm it works with your specific model before paying. Controlling the TV is part of Remo Premium, available as a weekly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. We only show numbers on this site that come directly from the App Store, and we'd rather show a small, honest review count than an inflated one. Remo is not affiliated with or endorsed by any TV manufacturer; brand names are used only to describe compatibility.
How we write this site
The guides on our blog are written and reviewed by the Vidus6 team, drawing on the protocol work we did to build Remo itself. We only claim capabilities Remo actually has, we don't invent statistics, and where the TV maker's own app or a hardware remote is the better answer, we say so plainly. If you spot an error, tell us and we'll fix it.
